Janice (Rottinghaus) Sherman – Parade Marshal
Janice (Rottinghaus) Sherman, who has been Morton City Librarian for 30 years, has been named as marshal for the Morton Pumpkin Parade. As librarian, Janice has done a great job expanding the Morton Public Library and keeping it current with all the changes in technology over the years. The Morton Public Library’s facebook page is here and their public website is here. The Library’s facebook page includes a video of Janice being named parade marshal. Janice was honored for her 30 years of service at a tea sponsored by the Alliance Library System – you can view the story and photos of that event here. The Morton Pumpkin Festival is held on September 16 – 19, 2009. The parade will attract over 20,000 people. Janice, her husband Don and her daughter Dora will lead the parade. More information is on the Morton Chamber of Commerce website. Congratulations, Janice!
