Becky and Charlie Cox Celebrated their 50th Anniversary on July 26th on the waterfront in Des Moines.   Des Moines, Washington State that is, not “Iowa”.    About 40 of their long-time friends and relatives joined them for an evening of food, wine, frolic, and …. yes … “historic photos”.   Becky Thorson (Kathy Thorson Schrier’s sister) of Okanogan, Washington, and Charles Cox of Colville, Washington, were cemented in marriage on June 20, 1959.  They met while students at “Wazzu”, Washington State College (now Washington State University, always #2 to the University of Washington here in Seattle!).    They emigrated to the wet side of the mountains here in Seattle, and both completed careers at the local airplane company, Boeing.   Now they continue a life of boat cruising and an occasional cruise boat sinking.  More photos of the event are posted on Bill Schrier’s Picasa site here and there is even a video of the event – neice Chrissy speaking – on Bill Schrier’s YouTube channel here.
